Greenacre Communities For Kids Project

Working with Families in School and Community

Communities For Kids (C4K) is a Families NSW Initiative supporting families in the Greenacre Area. The project is run from Banksia Road Primary School and is coordinated by a full time bi-lingual community worker.

The project provides support to families with young children and  aims to strengthen connections between families, school and community.

CFK also aims to address and remove some of the barriers that may prevent families from accessing much needed services.

The project focuses on building upon the strengths of families and parents and believes that every community member is valuable in making positive change and possess the skills to shape their futures, in particular their children's future.

Some of the services and initiatives C4K have recently worked on include:

  • Providing education programs for parents
  • Providing quality programs for children 0-5years, such as Play and Learn, which is run on a weekly basis from the school
  • Raising awareness and providing relevant information to parents on family issues, campaigns and services
  • Referrals to family, community, health and pyschological services
  • Works with the school on Banksia Bunnies Program, a transition to Kindergarten program

For more information regarding this project please contact the
C4K Coordinator on 9707 3423.
